Across Africa, 23 million primary school children attend school hungry. This has a severe impact on their ability to learn. Giving a child a healthy breakfast can improve their concentration, motivation and general behaviour. This, in turn, will boost their academic performance and allow them to make the most of their education.

For over five years, we have been running the Fill My Cup appeal which provides a hot breakfast to over 4000 students in 16 schools in East Africa. We have seen that children in this program are happier and a lot more energised and able to focus in the classroom. We have seen first-hand the impact that regular breakfasts have on students and the drastic change in their overall health, vigour, concentration and attendance. The father of one of the students who receives our breakfasts in Kenya said ‘I have benefitted with this project because my children get to eat in school, even if they don’t get to at home’.

Sponsor a child’s breakfast today! For just £24/$36 USD/$48 CAD, you can give a child a hot and nutritious breakfast for a whole year.
