I am awed by their inner strength to not allow such things to cloud their ultimate goal in attaining nearness to the Almighty Allah (SWT). When I placed my head on the Turbah in Sujood, my heart skipped a beat and tears filled my eyes as I remembered Imam Hussain (AS) as he lay on the burning sands in his final moments with Sayyeda Zainab (AS) looking on with broken heart.
The privilege of being able to do the ziyarat of Bibi Masooma (AS) and Imam Raza (AS) is an honour in itself, but adding to that the role of a mentor, and being able to impact the lives of our youth for the better, added another dimension to my experience of this trip.
