My dream to relive precious moments in the tranquil land of Iran near the blessed personalities of Imam Ali-ibn-Musa Ar-Redha (a.s) and Bibi Fatima Masumah (s.a) became a reality, and I realised the prayer I made whilst clinging onto the holy shrine of Sayyida Masumah (s.a) only months ago had been accepted.

This week, we introduce you to two more mentors that have been selected to accompany the group this year.
1. Sister Shaheen Dhanji – Stanmore, UK
Shaheen grew up in Dar es Salaam and recently moved to London. A ‘purist’ at heart, she is looking forward to detaching herself from a fast-paced working environment to acquire some spiritual connection within herself and with the Almighty.
Shaheen says: “I am particularly looking forward to the discussions with scholars and the mentees that will help broaden my depth of thinking.”
2. Sister Jerrmein Abu Shahba – New Jersey, USA
Jerrmein Abu Shahba is originally from Egypt and was guided by the grace of Allah (SWT) to the path of the Ahlul Bayt (as). She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Biology and her master’s degree in Chemistry at Rutgers State University. She is a Research Scientist working in the pharmaceutical industry to support the research and development of drugs for the treatment of diseases. Jerrmein is actively involved in Islamic projects and helps organise annual youth camps with the goal of spreading the pure message of the Ahlul Bayt (as). She contributed as a writer for the Islamic Insights and Voice of Unity magazines, volunteers as an editor for the Islam.org website, and translates Islamic literature.
Jerrmein states: “There are no words to properly describe how elated and grateful I am to be granted yet another opportunity to visit the holy land of Qum, to pay my regards to Sayyida Masuma (sa) and her dear brother Imam Ridha (sa) in Mashhad and to participate in a fantastic educational programme where I can serve my fellow Zuwaar. I look forward to this unique opportunity to assist and inspire my peers in embarking on a spiritually awakening and life-changing experience which they will carry back and live on for the rest of their lives. I yearn for the pleasure of sharing with the students precious moments of learning, meeting our divine guides, and engaging in enlightening activities where the bond of Wilayah and Muwaddah to our beloved Ahlul Bayt (as) is further nourished and intensified.”

On Monday we were up by 8AM for breakfast at Ali-Sadr hotel near Hamadan. We left shortly afterwards for Ghear-e-Ali Sadr which is the largest cave containing water in the whole world.
Once we had reached, we split up into groups and got into smaller boats, which took us deeper into the cave. It was beautiful! The water was so clear we could see right through it. After a few minutes we reached a small opening where we got out of the boats and were spoken to by a tour guide.
The World Federation of KSIMC is pleased to announce that applications are now open for an Islamic Short Course for couples, to be held in Qum. The course is ideal for couples to gain a deeper understanding of Islam for the future of their lives together.
