Every year during Arba’een, men, women and children of all ages take part in the 80km walk from Najaf to Karbala (N2K). This is done by millions of people to commemorate and remember what the members of the Ahlulbayt (as) had to endure so many years ago. The walk typically lasts for anything between one to four days and is described by many as a ‘once in a lifetime experience’.

The children’s group from the Husaini Islamic Centre, Burton Street, launched a project to support the Peterborough foodbank.
Each household in the community was encouraged to donate food that would help start the day for those who are in need when hardship hits the family.
