Africa Federation Housing Project in Dar es Salaam

The World Federation and The Sanita Merali Trust of the United Kingdom have committed financial support for the AFED Housing Project, thanks to the efforts of Alhaj Ahmed Daya, Executive Councillor of The World Federation.

In addition to this financial support, Alhaj Gulam Dewji has donated a plot of approximately 378 square metres for the development of the housing project. As a result, the Economic and Housing Development Board of the Africa Federation will start working on the plan imminently.

The project is for 20 residential flats in a 10 story building as well as shops on the ground floor and a basement for water tanks and generators. This project is a 'rent-to-own' housing scheme intended mainly for first time home owners and low income community members in Dar es Salaam.

This is a fantastic project and is one which will help a lot of people inshAllah. We will keep you updated on the progress of this much needed project.
