The World Mourns - Ashura 2014

Posted on Tue, 2014-11-11 14:30

Member communities of The World Federation of KSIMC and Shia communities around the world marked the day of Ashura last week on Tuesday 4th November 2014. On this day 1400 years ago the Holy Prophet's grandson Imam Husayn (a.s.) faced an army of forty thousand with a company of 100 or so loyal followers, which consisted of his family members and believers. They fought with honour and dignity and died to save the religion of Islam by taking a stand against injustice, and oppression. The Muslim ummah will forever be in their debt.
