“The Book of Allah is based on four things: expressions, allusions, subtleties, and realities. The expressions are for the common people; the allusions are for the elite; the subtleties are for the friends of Allah, and the realities are for the prophets.”

Tafsīr Tadabbur al-Qur’an is the awaited manifestation of a long-held dream by The World Federation of KSIMC to publish the tafsīr of the whole Qur’an in the English language.

Tafsīr Tadabbur al-Qur’an is authored by the prominent scholars Shaykh Abbas Jaffer and Dr Masuma Jaffer, along with contributions from Shaykh Mohammad Saeed Bahmanpour and Shaykh Dr Tahir Ridha Jaffer.

In it, the authors have employed a novel style of presenting tafsīr by combining reflective, and practical elements that of utmost significance for everyday life within the explanation of the verses. It also draws on the work of several classical and modern scholars, from the school of the Ahl al-Bayt (a).

The verses are discussed in a simple and comprehensible way, so that readers with no knowledge of Arabic and no background in Qur’anic studies can find it excitingly easy to understand.

In this preliminary volume, five chapters have been explored; namely, the frequently recited: al-Fātiḥah, al-Kāfirūn, al-Ikhlāṣ, al-Falaq, and al-Nās.

His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sistani (May Allah SWT prolong his age) has always emphasized for our community to preserve its heritage and language.

In following his esteemed guidance, Islamic Education Department is proud to announce the launch of our exciting new publication in Gujrati, titled: “The origin of Shiasm and its principles”, translated to Gujrati by Shaykh Imran Jafari, Resident Alim of Saint-Denis Jamat in Reunion Island (France).

About the book:
“Aslush shiate wa usuluha” was written by late Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Muhammad-Husayn Kashif al-Ghita’and was translated to Persian by Grand Ayatollah al-‘Udhma Shaykh Nasir Makarim Shirazi.

It was published for the first time in 1932 in Sidon, Lebanon.

Grand Ayatollah Shaykh Muhammad-Husayn Kashif al-Ghita’ (b. Najaf, 1877; d. Karand, 1954) was a Shia jurist, philosopher, author, teacher, and lecturer. He was considered to be one of the highest-ranking scholars in Iraq. He extensively worked for the welfare of the Shia community in Iraq and for Sunni-Shia rapprochement and solidarity. Shaykh Kashif al-Ghita’ wrote nearly 80 books on religious sciences such as jurisprudence, authority and hadith.

One of the most important features of this book is that it explains the beliefs and principles on which all Shia scholars have a consensus. It also highlights several cases upon which there is no disagreement between Shia scholars.

The book tackles the:

  1. Historical origins of Shiasm.
  2. Main tenets of Islamic faith from the Shia point of view.
  3. Shia views on legislative issues, such as prayer, fasting, Hajj, Zakat, temporary marriage, etc.
  4. Important issues,  such as “Bada’’” and “Taqiyyah“.

In addition, the author responds to sporadic doubts and shubuhaat about Shiasm and shows that it is a belief far from any slander of forgery and exaggeration (ghuluw).
