As we approach the blessed occasion of Eid al-Adha, it gives me immense pleasure to extend my warmest greetings to you and your families. May the blessings of this auspicious day bring joy, peace, and prosperity to your lives.
Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, commemorates the unwavering faith and devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (a) and his son, Prophet Ismail (a). Their exemplary submission to the will of Allah (SWT) reminds us of the profound importance of sacrifice in our lives. This sacred tradition of sacrifice is not merely about the physical act of qurbani but is a testament to our willingness to surrender our desires and serve the greater good.
The pilgrimage of Hajj is a profound journey that embodies the spirit of unity and brotherhood among Muslims worldwide. As millions gather on the plains of Arafah, they represent a united Ummah, bound by the threads of love, faith, and devotion. In Mina, where sacrifices are made, we see an embodiment of love and devotion, not only to Allah (SWT) but also to our fellow beings. This sacrifice signifies our readiness to give up what is dear to us for the sake of Allah and for the betterment of humanity. This annual congregation is a powerful reminder of our shared humanity and the importance of supporting one another.
On this occasion, I would also like to acknowledge the tireless efforts of our volunteers who serve our community in various capacities at the Jamaat, Regional, and The WF levels. Their sacrifices, often made quietly and without seeking recognition, are the backbone of our community’s strength and resilience. Their dedication and love for the community reflects the true spirit of Eid al-Adha.
The Day of Arafah, preceding to Eid al-Adha, is a time when our prayers and supplications are particularly powerful. As we gather for Eid prayers, let us pray for relief from suffering globally, especially for our brothers and sisters in Gaza and other parts of the world facing hardship. May Allah (SWT) accept our duas, ease their suffering, and grant them peace and security.
In conclusion, on this blessed day of Eid, let us reaffirm our commitment to the principles of sacrifice, unity, and brotherhood. Let us extend our hands in service to humanity, pray for the well-being of all, and reaffirm our allegiance to the Imam of our Time (aj). May Allah (SWT) accept our sacrifices and grant us the strength to continue serving our community with love and compassion.
