The WF Triennial Conference 2024 was successfully held from 24th – 26th May 2024, bringing together Delegates, Regional Leaders, and community members from around the world. It was the largest attended Triennial Conference in the history of the organisation with a total of almost 140 delegates (physical and virtual participants.) The conference, hosted at The WF House, Harefield, UK, with remote participation from various locations, focused on the work done by The WF, strategic initiatives, and future plans.

The conference commenced on Friday, 24th May 2024 with reflection on verses from the Holy Qur’an. The day’s key highlights included welcome speeches delivered by the Chairman of the Host Jamaat and Host Federation. Addresses by Regional Leaders provided insights into the current state and future aspirations of various regions. The President of The World Federation, Alhaj Safder Jaffer, presented the State of Community Address, offering a comprehensive overview of The WF work and achievements. Discussions on the economic upliftment of the community focused on Education, Housing and Microfinance initiatives.

The day concluded with a keynote address and reports from the Secretariat, highlighting major projects such as the Kadhimiyya Tile Project, where an award was also presented to Alhaj Furat Al Yassin for the exemplary work done in the completion of the Tile Project.

Special awards were also presented to some long-standing valuable staff of The WF.

The second day, Saturday, 25th May 2024, began with a workshop by The Global Census team aimed at gathering comprehensive data on our global community. Secretariat reports covered various departments, including Islamic Education, Marketing & Communications, MCE, WF-AID, International Centre for Advanced Islamic Research (ICAIR). The Global Census team presented an update on the Head Count exercise that was conducted during Muharram 1444.

Strategy updates addressed faith-related issues such as conflict resolution and managing divorce cases within the community.

The Youth Conference 2023 update shared outcomes and future plans from the Youth Department.

The second day concluded with the Hujjat Harefield Gala Dinner, an opportunity to connect, create networks and where a unique charity auction took place.

The final day, Sunday, 26th May 2024, was marked by the Electoral Commission Report, which addressed the 2024 WF Presidential Elections, including Standard Operating Procedures and observations.

This was followed by the inauguration of The WF President-Elect and a Keynote Address from the President Elect. Best practices from regional members showcased successful initiatives and strategies implemented across different regions.

The conference concluded with the election of Office Bearers, Councillors, and an auditor, for the Term 2024-2027, ensuring democratic participation and representation within the organization.

Throughout the conference, Delegates engaged in meaningful discussions, contributing to shaping the future of our community. The event concluded with a collective Du’a, reflecting our unity and shared purpose.
