In the Name of Allah (SWT), the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Respected Community Members,

Salamun Alaykum,

‘And that you should complete the number (of fasts) and that you should exalt the greatness of Allah for having guided you and that you may give thanks.’

Qur’an – 2:185

Eid Mubarak to you and your loved ones on this joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

As the sacred month of Ramadhan comes to an end, we reflect on the countless blessings we have received —opportunities for spiritual growth, moments of deep connection with Allah (SWT), and the ability to serve those in need. This month has reminded us that true joy is found in the bonds we strengthen within our communities locally and globally.

One of the greatest testaments to this community spirit has been the overwhelming generosity shown through WF-AID’s Ramadhan Relief. With your support, we have provided food and essential aid to thousands of families across India, Pakistan, Africa, the Middle East, and other regions globally a total of atleast 450,000 receiptients! These efforts have ensured that families struggling with poverty, displacement, and oppression could also experience the blessings of this sacred month.   This year the Ramadhan Relief donations have hit all records with the highest collection received thanks to the generosity of the community across the globe.

Ramadhan has also been a time of spiritual transformation for our communities. Across the world, our centres have been alive with Qur’anic gatherings – both recitation and reflection circles, programs and initiatives that have empowered young and old alike. We have seen the remarkable dedication of our volunteers—those who prepared meals for iftar, organized enriching programs at our centers, and worked tirelessly to foster an atmosphere of unity and devotion. Their efforts are a true embodiment of the prophetic tradition: “The best of people are those who benefit others.”

However, even as we celebrate today, we cannot forget those who continue to suffer—our brothers and sisters in Palestine and other regions. Their resilience is a reminder of our ongoing responsibility to stand for justice, to remember them in our duas, and to provide whatever support we can.  WF Aid continues to provide humanitarian support to those most in need.

As we embrace the spirit of Eid, let us carry forward the lessons of Ramadhan: the power of faith, the beauty of community, and the responsibility to serve. Let us also pray for the swift reappearance of our Imam Mahdi (aj), who will establish true justice on this earth.

Once again, warmest Eid Mubarak to you and your families.

With Salaams and Duas,

Safder Jaffer
