In the Name of Allah, The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful
Inna lillah Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajiun
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ
Every soul shall taste death [then swallow & digest it, on the journey based on Divine Wisdom & Justice toward eternity]. Then you all shall be brought back [exclusively] to Us.
(Suratul ‘Ankabut – verse 57)
It is with utmost sadness and grief that The World Federation of KSIMC has received news of the demise of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Sadiq Husayni Ruhani on 16th December 2022.
Read a brief statement from the office of His Eminence Sayyid Ali al-Sistani (dz) on this great loss to the Muslim Ummah.
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful,
Surely we belong to Allah, and surely to Him we will return.
It is with the deepest sorrow that I extend our condolences to the Imam of the Age (may our souls be sacrificed for him), the seminary of Qom, and to the friends and relatives of the great jurist and learned scholar Ayatollah Alhaj Sayyid Muhammad Sadiq Husayni Ruhani (may Allah be pleased with him) on the sad occasion of his passing.
He was an eminent scholar, who devoted many long years of his blessed life to teaching and educating religious students and disseminating the teachings of the Prophet’s Immaculate and pure Household (a), and endured great hardships in this undertaking and left behind many valuable scholarly works.
We ask Allah (whose Blessings be magnified) to compensate for this grievous loss and to elevate his station, and we entreat Him to grant sublime patience and abundant reward to those whom the deceased leaves behind.
Sayyid Ali al-Husayni al-Sistani
