The World Federation of KSIMC, in conjunction with ground partners and the Lady Mary Community, organised a 5-day residential camp and intensive course on the alternative and natural healings through the teachings of the Prophets and the Ahl al-Bayt (a) and the science of naturopathy from 7th – 11th of May 2023 in the Philippines.
This practical course was made to accommodate only twenty selected participants, both male and female, from the local Shi’a community in Luzon, that are all converts, with the aim of raising awareness and providing excellent opportunities for micro-finance, community upliftment and Tableegh.
This special course was conducted by Shaykh Nadir Jaffer – Head of External Tableegh who is a specialist in naturopathy and alternative medicines and has carried out intensive research in this field.
Shaykh Nadir provided theoretical and practical training and made the course easy for the participants to understand and learn. Since the duration was very short, the topics were carefully selected, and the most important elements were addressed.
The participants had 35 hours of teaching and also one-to-one consultations.
The last few hours of the training was dedicated to the Ahkam of Janaza: before & after death, obligatory and recommended actions of Ghusl, Hunoot, Kafan, Salaat Janaza, Talqeen and burial.
During the closing ceremony, the participants exhibited a profound sense of enthusiasm, openly expressing their emotions and delivering exceedingly positive feedback. The overwhelming response was so powerful that it evoked tears from several individuals in attendance.
The participants have made a collective commitment to convene on a regular basis to engage in thorough discussions and comprehensive reviews of the lessons acquired during this intensive medical retreat. Additionally, they have expressed their intention to pursue these acquired skills and knowledge as a professional vocation and consolidate them into a booklet.
A handful of feedback from the participants:
All participants were awarded with a certificate at the end of the course.
The administration of the Lady Mary Community thanked the organisers for this wonderful initiative and requested for another week-long course on Prophetic Medicine to further increase their knowledge.
The committee in the Philippines has decided to dedicate one of their flats just for medical practices to serve others and empower the community.
The World Federation has also received a formal request from Zamboanga province to organise such courses for their Muballigheen who are ready to travel from different places such as Mindanao, Sapa-Sapa and Tawi-Tawi.
