The WF President, Alhaj Safder Jaffer, visited the UK in mid June 2022 to attend the opening ceremonies of Dar al Zahra (as) Centre in Wessex, and the New Al-Qaaem site in Peterborough. These were held on the weekend of 11/12 June 2022, coinciding with the the wiladah of Imam Ali al-Ridha (a).

On 10th June 2022 / 10th Dhu al-Qada 1443, which was also the 10th anniversary of the Al Mahdi Centre in Wessex, Alhaj Safder Jaffer, WF President, attended the opening of the Dar al Zahra (as) Centre in Wessex, Portsmouth. The Wessex Madrasah is a state-of-the-art madrasah built with the help of all the generous donors, including the support of The WF. In attendance was Secretary General of CoEJ – Sabira bai Lakha, Resident Aalim – Shaykh Fazle Abbas Datoo, President of Wessex Jamaat – Alhaj Miqdad Master and WF Councillor and Head of Construction – Alhaj Shabbir Walji.

The program, which was held on the wiladat of Imam Ali al-Ridha (a), commenced with the visit and opening of the site. The program had addresses from Alhaj Shabbir Walji – WF Councillor and Head of Construction, Shaykh Fazle Abbas Datoo – Resident Aalim and Alhaj Safder Jaffer – WF President.

On Sunday 11th June 2022 / 11th Dhu al-Qada 1443, the WF President attended the opening ceremony of the new Al-Qaaem Site in Peterborough. In attendance at the event included – CoEJ delegation lead by Alhaj Salim Rahmatullah, Alhaj Shabir Najafi – AFED Chairman. Also present were members of the wider Peterborough community – Chief Constable Nick Dean, Local Council Members, Members from the Ahl al-Sunnah community and Bohra community were also present and blessed this momentous occasion.
Alhaj Rizwan Rehmatulla addressed the crowd reminiscing on the history of Peterborough Jamaat which was the first Khoja mosque built in the whole of Europe in 1976. Alhaj Safder Jaffer – WF President thereafter addressed the community at this event. Please watch below:
