Today was the final day of the Madinah and Bab course of this year. The journey as a whole was easily the most amazing in my entire life so far and for it to be coming to an end makes me and everyone else feel emotional.
After the classes, my fellow participants and I were privileged to get an invitation for lunch by Imam Redha (AS). It was a great honor; I felt that our Imam (AS) loved us all irrespective of our geographical or racial backgrounds.
With three days to go, we wanted to make the most of the trip to Nishapour. That was the destination of our two hour journey, and in order to spend the majority of the day in Nishapour, we had to wake up at 7AM, earlier than usual.
I felt blessed with the opportunity to experience the beautiful recitation of Dua Tawassul read in the Haram of Imam Ar-Redha (AS). This was a very special moment for me as I've never established such a strong connection with any other Dua.
Today was my birthday and it was one of the best birthdays I have ever had. Even though I was away from my family, I had an amazing birthday, thanks to the organizers, mentors and the participants for making it one of the best birthdays I have had!
After an exciting tour of the city of Tehran which included Milad Towers, we finally boarded the plane to Mashhad. We have just landed and I cannot wait to visit the Haram of Imam Ali Redha (AS)! This has been one of my lifetime dreams.
We carried on with a reflection session also lead by Syed about how beneficial our daily classes have been. As agreed by all, we have learnt a great deal as gained a lot of knowledge from the teachers as well as many things that we could relate to as teenagers living in the western world.
Today is the 15th of August 2014. After the fun-filled past few days which have gone past too quickly, the friends that we have made, the places we have visited and the foods we have eaten shall never be forgotten.
